Key responsibilities
- Review project documents and drawings to understand requirements
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for plumbing and firefighting works
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs, material take-offs, and cost breakdowns
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontracting costs
- Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternatives
- Coordinate with various teams for accurate estimation
- Prepare tender clarifications and commercial comparison sheets
- Maintain updated supplier databases and estimation records
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and authority requirements
- Support tendering team in final bid submissions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing)
- Proven experience in estimation or quantity surveying
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and firefighting systems
- Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
