Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Commis Chef to join our Client Team in Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for both hot and cold food production, working under the guidance of the Executive Chef. Key responsibilities include preparing food items for various functions, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to cost control policies.

- Position: Commis Chef
- Location: Egypt
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: 8-12 years, including at least 3 years in a department head role within the hospitality sector.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Establish and maintain effective employee relations.
- Inform the Chef de Partie daily about operational and personal matters.
- Ensure timely preparation of food items for restaurants, banquets, and special functions while meeting quality and quantity standards.
- Prepare daily food requisitions as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers.
- Control costs by minimizing spoilage and waste, ensuring proper storage, and exercising strict portion control.
- Prepare assigned lunch and dinner buffets, special functions, and restaurant supplies.
- Adhere to Emaar cost control policies and produce all products according to Emaar recipes.
- Test all food before serving.
- Attend training sessions and report any equipment needing repair or maintenance.
- Check function sheets, daily menus, and promotions.
- Ensure freshness and suitability of products, properly stored.
- Ensure smooth running of the section during the supervisor’s absence.
