Summary:
The position of Communications Associate at WFP focuses on enhancing nutrition-related communications through research and content creation. - Job Purpose: Provide specialized communication services to support WFP’s nutrition initiatives, including social behavioral change communication and awareness campaigns.
- Reporting Structure: The incumbent will report to the Head of Communications and collaborate closely with the Nutrition unit.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and synthesize nutrition data into engaging content for various platforms.
- Develop and maintain a library of nutrition messages in line with WFP’s strategic priorities.
- Lead nutrition awareness campaigns and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Represent the Communications Unit in meetings with UN agencies, government bodies, and NGOs.
- Manage logistics and branding for nutrition-related events.
- Coordinate with suppliers for the production of communication materials.
- Develop communication plans for global and national nutrition observances.
- Track the impact of nutrition communication activities and compile reports with insights and recommendations.
Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Media, Journalism, or related fields.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Arabic (oral and written).
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in marketing, communication, digital media, or related fields; experience in Nutrition Communications is preferred.
