Key responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations to achieve production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and environmental performance.
• Oversee Soda Ash and Calcium Chloride production units and associated utilities.
• Monitor Solvay process stability and key operating parameters.
• Review operating reports, address process deviations, and ensure corrective actions.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to operations personnel.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safe operating limits, and production instructions.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Planning teams to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering and Technical teams to optimize operating conditions and enhance plant efficiency.
• Lead operational response to process upsets, equipment failures, and emergencies.
• Participate in safety activities like HAZOP, HAZID, PHA, LOPA, and incident investigations.
• Ensure effective shift handover, communication, and reporting of plant status and critical issues.
• Support plant start-up, shutdown, commissioning, and other special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience of 10+ years in plant operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of Soda Ash and Calcium Chloride production processes.
• Familiarity with Solvay process and associated units.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 shift-based environment.
• Proficiency in using DCS systems and process control software.
