Purchasing Engineer

Seeking a skilled Purchasing Engineer to identify suppliers for basic and contractual materials, ensuring lowest prices, suitable delivery dates, and adherence to specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review purchasing requisitions for clarity and completeness
• Select suitable suppliers based on technical specifications
• Request and follow up on quotations from approved vendors
• Review material price comparisons during tenders
• Evaluate vendors' quotations for compliance with specs and contracts
• Send technical offers to projects and follow up on evaluation
• Review projects' technical evaluation and report comments
• Negotiate with vendors to meet target prices and company terms
• Prepare final material comparison sheets
• Regularly review vendor performance for improvement
• Maintain records of purchases and related correspondences
• Qualify new local and international vendors
• Perform other related tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Familiarity with construction, civil engineering, or oil & gas industries
• Proficiency in Arabic and English
