Adjunct Faculty History Undergraduate School UMGC Europe

University of Maryland University College (UMGC) looks for adjunct professors to teach on-site in Manama, Bahrain for the History program.

Needed Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in History, or related field from a recognized organization of greater knowing.

  • Professional experience in History or associated field.

  • Please attach provided unofficial transcripts and/or credential assessments for all graduate degrees

  • Experience mentor adult learners online and in higher education is highly preferred

  • Regional applicants just. Accessory faculty positions are not qualified for UMGC sponsored logistical assistance. Candidates should have and be able to preserve their own legal status in the country in which they apply to teach.

  • Applicants should already have base access. We are not able to acquire base gain access to or offer logistical assistance for our Downrange accessory faculty.

The Adjunct Faculty Role at UMGC

Your function as an adjunct professor will be to:

  • Actively engage students through regular interaction that inspires them to prosper, and communicates a genuine energy and enthusiasm for their knowing

  • Guide trainees in active partnership and the application of their knowing in problem- and project-based knowing presentations

  • Supply rich and routine constructive feedback, using rubrics effectively for the evaluation of student work, and acknowledging trainee accomplishments

  • Show appropriate and existing subject-matter know-how, and help trainees link principles throughout their academic program

  • Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements
