To support our site set-up in Saudi-Arabia on customer site in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) we are looking for an experienced, trustworthy and committed Health And Safety Officer.
The Health and Safety Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees within the organization. This position involves developing, implementing, and monitoring safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and will be responsible for conducting training sessions, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards. The Health and Safety Officer will also collaborate with various internal and external parties involved in the execution of Durr’s automotive manufacturing related installations to foster a culture of safety and health awareness throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local and international health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Prepare reports and presentations on safety performance and improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in legislation related to health and safety.
Preferred Candidate:
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
- Relevant certifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Experience in conducting safety training and workshops.
