Key responsibilities
- Perform venepuncture and blood collection procedures for adults and children
- Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens accurately
- Maintain proper specimen handling and transportation procedures
- Ensure patient confidentiality and correct identification
- Support health screening and preventive healthcare programs
- Monitor patients during and after blood collection procedures
- Provide clear explanations of procedures and reassure anxious patients
- Maintain a calm, compassionate, and professional approach
- Support patients from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Follow DHA regulations, laboratory standards, and infection prevention procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure quality assurance standards
Requirements
- DHA registration as a Phlebotomist
- Proven experience in phlebotomy
- Fluency in Arabic or Tagalog alongside English is highly regarded
- Strong patient care skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a busy outpatient healthcare environment
