Key responsibilities

• Perform 12-lead electrocardiograms (ECGs) following established protocols
• Prepare patients for ECG procedures, ensuring comfort and cooperation
• Position ECG electrodes accurately and maintain equipment
• Identify and address technical artefacts for accurate results
• Recognize and escalate abnormal ECG findings to clinicians
• Document, store, and forward ECG recordings to relevant healthcare professionals
• Assist clinical teams with cardiac diagnostic procedures
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety procedures
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate clinical documentation
• Support quality assurance activities and comply with facility policies

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in ECG Technology or related healthcare field
• Previous experience performing ECGs in a healthcare setting
• Practical knowledge of 12-lead ECG recording and equipment operation
• Good understanding of patient preparation, infection control, and clinical safety
• Ability to recognize recording abnormalities and escalate concerns
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
