Summary:
The Document Draftsman Specialist is responsible for creating, reviewing, and finalizing a variety of professional documents to support the organization’s bidding and operational functions. This role requires a meticulous individual with excellent drafting skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of technical information and standards in electrical/electronic engineering field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, and finalize project submittal documents (technical proposals) during bidding stage, project submittals for material approval, preparing compliance statement, replying to consultant review comments, etc.
- Ensure all documents adhere to company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Maintain and organize all document templates for easy access and consistency across the organization.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure documents are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Review and revise documents to ensure compliance with local and international regulations and organizational policies.
- Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and best practices affecting documentation.
- Work closely with finance, operations, and other departments to gather input and address document requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between departments for document-related queries or clarifications.
- Perform thorough proofreading and formatting to ensure all documents are error-free and professionally presented.
- Implement a consistent tone, style, and structure across all organizational documentation.
- Assist in improving document workflows and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Skills
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Requirements
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronics and Communication).
- Certification in technical writing or document drafting is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in document drafting or technical documentation.
Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems.
- Strong understanding of technical requirements and international standards.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Team player with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of document version control and archiving practices.
- Experience with software or document automation tools.
