We are looking for a qualified and experienced Head of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) to spearhead our HSE initiatives across manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE strategies, policies, and procedures in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory HSE requirements, conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency response planning.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis; implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Oversee and coordinate employee safety training programs, including fire safety and emergency drills.
- Maintain current HSE documentation and reports for audits.
- Collaborate with departmental heads to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous HSE improvements.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the company during HSE inspections and audits.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant HSE experience in the manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Certifications:
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.
- Firefighting and First Aid certification (mandatory).
- ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 lead auditor certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws and HSE regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure during emergencies.
