Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook hot kitchen dishes to consistent quality standards
- Manage hot kitchen station during service, ensuring prompt dish preparation
- Supervise and develop junior chefs on the job
- Cover chef in charge duties and manage section independently when needed
- Follow standardized recipes and plating instructions
- Contribute to menu development and improve existing recipes
- Monitor ingredient usage and control food costs
- Maintain clean workstation and comply with food safety and HACCP standards
- Coordinate with kitchen team for efficient service and consistent dish quality
Requirements
- Professional certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in hot kitchen section
- Proficient in preparing grilled dishes, sauces, and Western/Middle Eastern cuisine
- Experience in training and guiding junior chefs
- Good knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP practices
