Principal Accountabilities:
- Oversee development and maintenance of commissioning, startup, and performance testing schedules.
- Ensure planning activities align with project objectives and timelines.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to project management and stakeholders.
- Generate “what-if” scenarios to anticipate potential project delays or changes.
- Develop impacted schedules and recovery plans to address deviations from the project plan.
- Coordinate with stakeholders including engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule integrity.
- Conduct risk analysis and implement strategies to minimize project risks.
- Utilize planning software such as Primavera P6 and Power BI to manage and track project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience as a planning engineer, with a minimum of 2 years in a lead planning engineer role.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Expertise in power block systems and commissioning & startup scheduling methodologies.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, risk analysis tools, Power BI, VB, DAX, and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex timelines.
Working Conditions:
- Extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
- Primarily office-based with potential site visits to monitor project progress.
- High level of coordination and communication with various project stakeholders is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
