We are looking for an inspirational leader to join us in Dubai as part of One EMEA R&D team of passionate experts engaged to drive business growth through innovative, optimised and sustainable products and packaging that delight our consumers and customers.

This role is a customer facing technical R&D leader located in Dubai, covering Middle East markets. Responsible for brief interpretations, technical customer relationships, product development and product improvement for Dubai including new products, line extensions, brand maintenance, pilot plant trials and assistance with factory scale-ups and cost optimisation. Independently plans and executes projects to meet specific requirements including consumer acceptance, cost, timing, and plant efficiency. Manages and supports development of R&D team.


  • Manages projects and programmes in accordance with assigned priorities and objectives including consumer acceptance, plant performance, product cost, and timing.
  • Actively works on own project briefs. Facilitates, manages and prioritizes the timely and accurate response.
  • Assumes a customer facing role in all appropriate customer meetings, presentations, store support, trials and project updates.
  • Manages and leads customer innovation and new product launch meetings and presentations. Works proactively on helping grow the category in alignment with the commercial partners
  • Provides technical support to customers as appropriate in person and by written and verbal communication to support the customer intimacy strategy.
  • Oversees Cost reduction Programs for relevant client, ensuring appropriate support by R&D teams maintained and initiatives delivered.
  • Manages the NPD team in Dubai. Evaluates workload plans in accordance with the launch activities and flags need for relevant capacity and capability support from other R&D teams and experts.


  • At least 5 years of R&D / Product development experience. Previous experience in QSR and FMCG companies preferred
  • Food Science/Food Technology or Engineering degree qualified, or equivalent
  • Working experience on coating and/or seasoning systems preferred
  • Very good English skills
  • A passion for food with proximity to culinary and consumer trends
  • Interpersonal savvy and ability to build successful customer relationships
  • Thorough understanding of consumer insights and product technical delivery, able to understand and help develop a robust customer brief and deliver using available or required insight tools
  • A successful communicator with ability to negotiate and influence outside of the organization
  • Ability to recognize and manage diversity and facilitate competing requirements of different internal and external customers
  • Ability to apply business savvy and reflect strategic priorities to everyday R&D agenda
  • Ability to work autonomously and to supervise the work of a team
