General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- The Senior Manager Interface & Stakeholders will be the primary contact with all external parties and will meet, discuss, and understand their needs and issues and manage their expectations.
- Responsible for managing interfaces and ensuring that approvals and permits are sought and obtained for all aspects of the Project. Tracking Authority approvals, monitoring, escalation, expediting issues, issue resolution and risk mitigation.
- Will develop a Stakeholder Engagement Plan.
- Main point of communication with the client on all authority issues.
- Issue Monthly Stakeholder Report.
- Presentable and strong communication skills.
- Develop RFPs and scope for master planning and design consultants.
- Technically review and suggest best practices for the design of all product types.
- Study and implement improved efficiencies for design and construction stages.
- Identify engineering grey areas on given project documents and suggest, within a short time course of actions, rectify as necessary.
- Perform redline reviews of all plans during each design stage for suggested value engineering.
- Contribute with the urban planning and design of product.
- Attend, manage, and take minutes to ensure compliance of design consultants to adhere to schedule of deliverables, and full coordination between all disciplines.
- Support Procurement and Contracts department.
- Reviews and analyzes design requirements and establishes scope of work and priorities for the different engineering services departments.
- Follows-up & assists the Project Management during the execution phases to ensure client design requirements are fulfilled.
- Organizes & conducts coordination meetings with internal departments and third-party teams to evaluate progress of work and ensure alignment or work conducted by each trade, and compliance with requirements and standards.
- Meets with Consultants to clarify project design requirements and follow-up approvals.
- Guides and reviews the work of design consultants to ensure progress is within schedule and complies with requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Identifies measures to reduce technical studies costs.
- Maintain and develop the design and planning goals and needs of the projects.
- Coordinate these goals and needs with client to assure project compliance.
- Develop or collect the various project goals and needs.
- Develop physical area and use programs for various projects.
- Align lessons learned on field trips with goals and needs and adjust to meet cultural requirements.
- Attend design meetings with consultants.
- Monitor the Design and Studies Progress and ensure that the requirements of the Client are clearly communicated to the consultants.
- Provide comments on design documents and ensure compliance with Client’s objectives and requirements.
- Manage, coordinate, and monitor all design development including obtaining Client’s approval of the design.
- Manage and coordinate dissemination of design information to all relevant parties in a timely manner.
- Manage design deliverables according to project priorities and approved time schedule.
- Establish, develop, and monitor the appropriate procedures to manage all the above activities.
Skills
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
This should be specific requirements of what is required for this position.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 20 years of combined experience, 10 years rail experience and 5 years in similar roles in Project Management.
- PMP, PMI, RIBA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
- Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
- Proven experience in building and leading high performing teams.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, including excel and word.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
