Electrical & HVAC Technician – The Australian University AU

Key responsibilities

• Support daily maintenance of electrical and HVAC systems
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot chillers and HVAC systems
• Monitor and report electricity consumption
• Attend maintenance and emergency calls
• Perform routine maintenance checks and create work orders
• Assist in cost estimation for maintenance and minor projects
• Provide regular progress reports to the Facilities Manager
• Perform standby duty as required
• Maintain Building Maintenance Systems and fire control systems
• Ensure compliance with OHS&E systems and legislation
• Report damages or hazards to the Facilities Manager
• Assist in supervision of outsourced maintenance services
• Follow university rules and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager

Requirements

• Proven experience in electrical and HVAC maintenance
• Familiarity with BMS, fire control, and security systems
• Knowledge of OHS&E systems and legislation
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills in English
