Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of catering items according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and airline specifications at the airport.
- Collaborate with the Airside Loading team (ALT) to meet all flight requirements during aircraft loading and unloading.
- Operate the high loader safely next to the aircraft as per SOPs to facilitate smooth loading and unloading.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any mechanical issues to prevent operational disruptions.
- Pre-cool the vehicle chiller and ensure cargo belts are secured to prevent damage to catering items and equipment.
- Follow safe driving practices in compliance with U.A.E. road traffic laws and airport safety regulations.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and report any vehicle damages or defects.
Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:
- Education: High School Certificate or equivalent qualification (mandatory).
- Driving License: Valid U.A.E. heavy truck driving license (#4) and successful completion of the company driving test (mandatory).
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Truck Driver or in a similar role within a logistics/transport environment.
- Skills:
- Proficient in written and spoken English with a keen attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection and maintenance (tire pressure, oil, water levels).
- Familiarity with First Aid and basic firefighting (preferred).
- Ability to operate a loaded vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Security Pass.
- Physically fit for manual handling tasks (bending, kneeling, using a ladder).
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team and willing to work shifts.
