Job Purpose:
The Mechanical Piping Engineer will support the Design and Engineering Department in the development of piping systems, selection of pumps, and the integration of new systems within operational industrial facilities (brownfield). This role requires technical leadership in creating design criteria, producing detailed Technical Study Reports (TSRs), and ensuring adherence to engineering standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Criteria Development:

   • Develop and document mechanical design criteria by translating project and operational requirements into functional parameters.

2. Technical Study Reports (TSRs):

   • Prepare TSRs that analyze feasibility, sizing, installation challenges, and provide clear, technically sound recommendations.

3. Piping Systems Engineering:

   • Review and validate piping designs according to ASME/API codes, interpret drawings and P&IDs, and coordinate brownfield modifications.

4. Pump Selection and Integration:

   • Select and size pumps based on system requirements, integrating them into piping networks, and recommending control and instrumentation strategies.
5. Brownfield Project Implementation:
   • Conduct site surveys, identify integration risks, and collaborate with operations, HSE, and relevant teams for safe implementation.
